Global growth of intensive aquaculture and the increased number of endangered fish species, augments the need for efficient and effective means of conserving gametes. The project aims at investigating possible preservation of the maternal germplasm through cryopreservation of fish oocytes, in view of the failure, so far, of fish ova or embryo cryopreservation.
